Investing in Emerging Markets

London – Paola Tarazi, Partner at BerchWood Partners, recently moderated a panel on Investing in Emerging Markets. Sponsored by the INSEAD Private Equity & Venture Capital Group and supported by the Lansdowne Club, the event hosted nearly fifty attendees and featured lively interactive discussions with the audience. Speakers included Kayode Akinola, a director at KKR who is leading the firm's African efforts; Joana Rocha Scaff, a principal in the co-investment funds and private equity group at Neuberger Berman; and Marc Nahum, a director at Actis who covers the firm's EMEA-based investors for fundraising and investor relations activities.

The next INSEAD Private Equity & Venture Capital Group panel is planned for November 7 and will focus on Investor Relations and Fund Placement. Exploring the nature of fundraising for private equity funds, speakers will discuss what the job consists of and debate internal versus external fundraising models, as well as the complementary approach. The event will be supported by UBS Investment Bank.
