John Crocker is a director at BerchWood Partners and has been affiliated with the firm since 2016. He focuses on all parts of the business including origination, project management and distribution.
With a background in management consulting and investment banking, John has spent over 25 years in the alternative investment industry as a fiduciary, intermediary and advisor. He built the fund of funds business at Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette to over $5 billion in assets under management and was a partner at Capital Z Investment Partners, a $2.5 billion private equity fund that invested in new fund franchises. As an intermediary, he worked in the private funds groups at Citi and Atlantic Pacific as well as his own boutiques. Most recently he worked in business development and investor relations at 57 Stars and NovaQuest Capital Management, the latter a firm he advised through its formation.
John received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his AB in Economics, cum laude, from Harvard College. He was a member of the Varsity rowing team during his tenure at Harvard and remains active with both schools in fund raising. He holds dual citizenship in the US and the United Kingdom.
John has obtained his Series 7, 24, 63, 79 licenses.
